The 7 GoHighLevel automations I install on almost every account
Most GoHighLevel accounts I inherit have a pipeline, a calendar and nothing running in between. These seven workflows are what turn a quiet CRM into a system that works overnight.
GoHighLevel can do almost anything, which is exactly why most accounts end up doing almost nothing. Here are the seven workflows I build first, in the order that pays back fastest.
1. Speed-to-lead
Trigger: new contact from a form, Meta lead ad or chat widget. Action: an SMS and an email within 60 seconds, written like a person, with a booking link. Internal alert to the owner. If the lead replies, the conversation lands in one inbox.
2. Missed-call text-back
Trigger: inbound call not answered. Action: “Sorry I missed you, this is Mubashar from Apex Roofing. How can I help?” sent within seconds. The single cheapest win in the whole platform. I wrote a separate guide on it.
3. AI qualification
The conversation AI answers the first three questions every lead asks: do you cover my area, roughly what does it cost, when can you come. It then offers calendar slots. Humans only step in when the lead is qualified or asks something unusual.
4. Pipeline automation
Every stage change does something. Contacted: start the three-day follow-up. Booked: send confirmation and reminders. Quoted: nudge on day 1, 3 and 7. Won: send the review request. Lost: tag for the reactivation campaign in 90 days.
5. No-show rescue
If the appointment is marked no-show, an apologetic text with a one-tap rebooking link goes out five minutes later, and again the next morning. Roughly a third of no-shows rebook from this alone.
6. Review engine
Two hours after a job is marked complete, a text asks for a Google review with a direct link. A reminder follows two days later if nothing was left. Reviews compound: they lower your ad costs and raise your close rate at the same time.
7. Reactivation
Every 90 days, leads that went quiet get a short, specific offer. It costs nothing to send and regularly books jobs from people who were simply not ready the first time.
